Stamford, CT – October 9, 2017 - The Loft Artists Association is hosting its annual new member show, “New Year, New Art” in the Phillips and West Galleries at 575 Pacific Street from January 5 to February 4, 2018, with an Opening Reception on Friday, January 5, from 6-8 PM.
“This year the exhibit will highlight the work of 10 dynamic and diverse artists new to the LAA” Co-Director, Mark Macrides stated. “We’re excited to expand the organization with talented artists from local communities. Each of these artists brings a unique style and body of work to the LAA, as well as a high profile in the local art community.” Their work ranges from contemporary abstracts and traditional landscapes in oil, acrylic and watercolor, to mixed media, printmaking, digital art, dreamscapes, and beyond. The new members include; Lydia Larson, Olga Klymyk, Anna Badini, Joyce Grasso, Michael Wagner, Rebecca Stern, Barbara Maltz and Rita Soledad Castillo all of Stamford, Elizabeth Agresta of Cos Cob and Joanie Landau of Fairfield.
The Loft Artists Association, celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2018, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing artists with a supportive environment and opportunities to exhibit their work, while reaching out to the community at large with education and artistic expression, as well as collaborative projects. Their grassroots events attract thousands of visitors throughout the tri-state area and have been recognized by city and state funding agencies, as well as corporate and private sponsors.
