This is a freewheeling discussion of current affairs, culture, and anything else on our minds. There are never any shortage of topics to explore, and opinions to voice. Plan on about an hour or so of conversation and debate, organized by Avon residents. Please register and a Zoom link will be sent to you before the event. There’s no pressure to attend each week just log in as often/infrequently as you like! During Thanksgiving week, Current Events will meet on the Wednesday before the holiday. During Christmas and New Year’s week, this group will also meet on the Wednesday before the holiday.

Get ready to roar and spread your wings in Baby Dragons, the latest tabletop RPG played at the Avon Free Public Library! You play as a dragon, one of the fiercest creatures ever to roam the skies! While you yourself are relatively new to the whole dragon thing, you know you have two objectives: defend your lair and build your hoard! In this new adventure, it’s time to see how well you can defend your lair! A knight or two have been seen on the horizon, and where knights go, trouble is sure to follow! Solve puzzles to set up a defense for your lair, attack the knights head on, or try and charm your way out of the trouble you’re in. How it goes is up to you! Baby Dragons is a cooperative role-playing game to help teach teamwork, creative problem-solving, and story-telling skills! A TTRPG is a game for anyone to play, where we disengage from our screens and together write a story with fictional characters. Many people turn their TTRPG into a story of their own. Friends in Grades 4-6 who enjoyed Honey Heist and Pokémon Rescue Force will love this dragon-themed adventure story!
