The Pikes Peak Library District is proud to present the 2026 Manitou Springs Library Lawn Concert Series! Concerts will be on Wednesdays from 6 - 7:30 p.m., starting June 3 and ending July 22.This season's concert series will be held outdoors on the lawn to the north of the Manitou Springs Carnegie Library. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy the music of this summer concert series.This third concert of the series features the music of The Mitguards:Chris and Deb Mitguard have been playing music throughout the West for over 20 years. Known for their wicked banter, tight harmonies, and carefully crafted compositions, The Mitguards’ original songs span a myriad of styles. Says Bill Reed of the Colorado Springs Gazette, “In his (Chris’) songwriting, Mitguard resists the urge to turn roots music into a reach for some mythical, idyllic past, and goes for a more relevant and immediate impact." Chris’s fluid guitar is complemented by Deb’s unique and charming mandolin and accordion. The Pikes Peak Library District is proud to present the 2026 Manitou Springs Library Lawn Concert Series! Concerts will be on Wednesdays from 6 - 7:30 p.m., starting June 3 and ending July 22.This season's concert series will be held outdoors on the lawn to the north of the Manitou Springs Carnegie Library. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy the music of this summer concert series.This fifth concert of the series features the music of Patchwork Jack. From their website:This merry band of westerners (both north and south American) thread together such influences as Texas country, Latin ballads, and Romani swing. Their music, like an old worn-out quilt, tells tales of love, loss, resilience and the human experience. A heaping helping of honky-tonk humanity might be just what you need. At the helm, and oft (but not always) holding the six-string, is front man Shane “Bob” Lory. A Texan by birth lottery, he was inspired by the reverent and honest simplicity of Blaze Foley and the haunted musings of Townes Van Zandt. With a voice that hitches between honey and gravel, Lory steers the ensemble through performances that traverse the tender and the raucous. As the primary songwriter, Lory's compositions serve as the foundation for Patchwork Jack's distinctive sound.When he isn't wandering solo, the band can sometimes appear as a tight-knit duo and other times as a riotous six-deep brigade. At its biggest and best; Jenny West keeps the band glued together with a steady heartbeat on her upright bass, while Tommy Diaz adds depth and soaring harmonies with his cello.
