Teens in grades 6-12 - Drop in to use and explore the Library's Makerspace! Learn about the equipment we have, programs we offer, and tools available for making designs. Please note that hours can change due to staffing or special programs. We encourage you to check the calendar or call 303-661-1163 just ahead of your visit.Before your first use of the equipment: A release must be on file for each person of any age using the space or supervising others in the space, and each user needs their own Lafayette Library card (not an online temporary account) prior to filling out the Makerspace Release and Policies form (https://lafayetteco.gov/MakerspaceRelease). Feel free to stop by the Computer Lab in the Lobby to make cards and fill out the releases before coming in for drop-in hours.

Adults - need help preparing for the GED or High School Equivalency (HiSET) test? The Coal Creek Adult Education Center (CCAEC) and The Lafayette Public Library have partnered to bring High School Equivalency preparation classes to Lafayette. Earning your High School Equivalency Diploma will improve your chances for employment and advancement as well as allow you to attend post-secondary training.Session dates: Tuesdays from 6-8pm (new sessions may start on the first or second week each month, and new students can join monthly).Cost: Free (donations appreciated) Location: Lafayette Public Library, Upper North Seating AreaRegistration required: On the CCAEC registration page, use the link to sign up for the next session using the event's Reserve a Spot button. If the link takes you to a session that is full or has ended, additional sessions held at the Lafayette Library for free will be visible under the heading "More Coal Creek Adult Education Center events."
