​​Microsoft Word has become the most popular word processing program and is a basic component of the Microsoft Office suite of programs. This class is designed to introduce students to the basics of Microsoft Word. Students will learn how to create and save a document, as well as make basic text adjustments such as font, size, color, and alignment. The class meets weekly for four consecutive weeks, with three sessions that are instructor-led and cover material on the given topic and a fourth session that is conducted as an open lab for students to ask questions, take proctored exams, or get more information.If you already have an email address, please come prepared with your email address and password to log into your email account. If you don't have an email address, we will assist with setting one up for you.

Start your 3D printing and designing journey with the PPLD! We will create and print a custom project using Tinkercad, a free, online 3D design software. No previous experience required. Ages 9 and up.   After completing this badging class, you will be able to use the 3D printers on your own during open hours at the makerspaces at East and Sand Creek libraries, as well as Library 21c. If you are unable to attend this badging class or would prefer not to attend in person, a virtual badging option is available.   Makerspace classes can fill up quickly, so it is best to register close to when registration opens. If you are unable to register for this class, you can find other Tinkercad classes at all three makerspaces.  Please set up a free Tinkercad.com account before attending. Tinkercad accounts may take several days for Autodesk Inc. to process. Please create the account after registering and bring your login information to class. PPLD has no control over Tinkercad accounts.  All participants must have their own PPLD library card. Please contact one of the makerspaces for more information.
