Middle College  is a hybrid high school/college program located on the SBCC campus. Middle College high school courses are taught in an independent one-on-one meeting environment focused on an integrated curriculum built around current events.  Middle College students also attend college classes on the SBCC campus with college professors and students. Middle College predominantly serves high school juniors and seniors, but also occasionally enrolls mature sophomores.As students work towards earning their high school diploma, they also actively experience and learn how to succeed in a college environment. Some of the most important skills students report learning are time management, communication, and learning how to be resourceful and reach out for extra support as needed on campus.  Middle College is also an excellent opportunity for motivated students to sample various potential college majors and career pathways.  Students often graduate Middle College with about one year of college units on their transcript. After graduating from high school, many Middle College students become SBCC Promise students while others apply to and directly attend four-year universities.Please RSVP for the meeting by contacting Regina Freking at 805-897-3561 or  [email protected] .
