We're inviting all knitters, aspiring or experts, to join the Knitting Circle! The Knitting Circle meets in person at the Foster City Library every second and fourth Friday of the month, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Bring your current knitting project to unwind, socialize, troubleshoot and cast on! We will also have simple knit-alongs, where all knitters work on the same project! While this is not a formal instructional class, Knitting Circle members collaborate together to work on basic knitting skills so we can confidently knit, purl, cast on and bind off. Beginners welcome!

Family Storytime

Children and their caregivers are invited to join us for family storytime! We will sing, move, read stories, learn and play together!

Chen-style Taijiquan (Tai Chi) is widely acknowledged as the ancestor of all other styles of Taijiquan. This class will introduce the Chen-style Taijiquan form, Silk-reeling Exercises and Wuji Qigong. The Chen-style Taijiquan form is soft and graceful with strong rooted stands that will help students to develop strength, balance, coordination and an understanding of basic Taiji principles. Silk-reeling Exercises are a series of spiral movements that promote muscle relaxation and flexibility by reducing physical tension and strain. Wuji Qigong (standing meditation) will help students cultivate internal energy (qi) with proper body alignment for better internal energy flow which will enhance their immune systems, and reduce physical and mental stress.  Space is limited. First come, first served.

Use your new skills to make mittens from fleece fabric.  No experience is needed. All materials will be provided. Space is limited, so be sure to sign up.  In order to make this program available to the widest audience possible, and to accommodate our waitlist, please only register for one instance of this event per project.
