ACT at San Luis Obispo Repertory Theatre presents Acting: Comedic Scenes. Get ready to laughâand make others laugh too! In this fun, fast-paced acting class, students will dissect, rehearse and perform a variety of comedic scenes while learning what makes great stage comedy tick. Each week, students will take turns performing and observing, gaining insight from both sides of the stage. Itâs the perfect class for anyone eager to explore timing, character, and the joy of making an audience smile. This class is open to students of all experience levels and will conclude with a celebratory performance for family and friends. This program is for students 12 -18 (capacity 10 students). This play-based drama class will combine songs, games, imaginative play, stories, and movement to introduce students to the building blocks of the performing arts. This session we are basing our class around three beloved stories: Who Took the Farmerâs Hat?, May I Bring a Friend?, and Caps for Sale. SLO REPâs ACT classes are a great way to develop motor and speaking skills, build confidence, and enhance early social skills and creative learning. ACT at San Luis Obispo Repertory Theatre presents: HEROS. Celebrate the songs and stories of musical theatre’s greatest heroes! In this class, students will explore inspiring numbers from Broadway and beyond—learning vocal technique, storytelling through song, and stage performance skills. Each week combines focused vocal study with ensemble rehearsal as students bring these heroic characters and their unforgettable songs to life. The class will conclude with a celebratory performance for family and friends. This program will take 10 students ages 10 -14.
