Please join us as we welcome Forensic Artist Naomi Glixman for an interactive presentation and workshop on forensic art. We will be practicing the interview process and doing a (voluntary only) drawing exercise along with our discussion. During the workshop, you will learn the nuances of the forensic artist interview and how and why it works. Naomi Glixman has been a Forensic Artist for over twenty years, working first with the Redwood City Police Department and currently, for the past eleven years, with the San Francisco Police Department. She has been certified by the International Association for Identification since 2016 and sits on the Forensic Art Certification Board for that organization.

Gem Painting is taking the crafting world by storm. It’s the perfect mixture of paint-by-numbers and mosaic art, without the paint! Instead, tiny gems make a beautiful pattern and sparkle in the light. Gem Painting is a recurring series that invites creative makers to gather in the same place on a regular basis. If you are interested in participating, attend the first Friday of the month where canvases will be provided, and then drop in on the dates that work for your schedule so you can work on your masterpiece. Participants are not required to attend every session, but we will only be accepting new participants on the first session of each month. As this project aims to gather creative makers in the community, each participant's gem painting materials will be labeled and held at the library until the month is complete. This is a fun and relaxing activity that’s good for mental health and wellness. Come give it a try and socialize with your fellow community members. This program is for adults and seniors only Space is limited to 10 participants - First Come, First Served
