Join Salmon Protection and Watershed Network (SPAWN) staff on Fridays for their free, Native Plant Nursery Volunteer Days at Turtle Island Restoration Network's main office site in Olema, CA (9255 Sir Francis Drake Blvd.). SPAWN welcomes all volunteers who can help them in the nursery, anytime between 10 am and 2 pm.Get hands-on experience dividing and propagating plants, learning proper potting techniques, and/or helping with seasonal nursery maintenance. We will also do seasonal work to get all the plants ready for various habitat restoration projects within the Lagunitas Creek Watershed, the most important habitat for the recovery of endangered coho salmon on the central California coast.Please RSVP to Audrey Fusco by email the first time you plan to come to a volunteer event. We’ll provide gloves and tools. Please bring a lunch, a water bottle, and a hat, and dress for the sun. Masks are not required if you are fully vaccinated.

Join us for a fun volunteer event to observe César Chávez Day of Service in Point Reyes National Seashore! During this event we will be removing invasive ice plant at North Beach.No experience necessary! Training and tools will be provided.Volunteers under the age of 18 need parent/guardian supervision, and must bring a completed Volunteer Agreement Form with the parent/guardian approval section signed.Wear clothes that can get dirty. Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required for safety purposes. Bring extra layers for variable weather and rain gear if necessary.Bring a lunch, as well as a water bottle and sunscreen.
