Shop for and learn about railroadiana and railroad antiques at Southern California's largest outdoor swap meet. Vendors will be selling railroad collectibles art books photos models and toy trains. Railroad historians and preservationists will be on hand to tell the story of Southern California's railway history. Fun and learning for the whole family! The event runs from 9 am to 2 pm. Price: $7 for ages 12 and up $5 for ages 5 – 11 or included with an all-day ride pass $12 ages 12 and up $8 ages 5 – 11 4 and under free. Tickets available at the Box Office on the day of the event. Daily Driver’s Inc. is headed back to the Southern California Railway Museum Winter WonderSLAMMED IV! A fan favorite venue SCRM provides an incredible backdrop for a unique Car Show – modern cars and vintage trains what more do you need? This show will also feature an exhaust contest several industry vendors raffles with awesome prizes giveaways and local food vendors offering delicious bites. Additionally this all-outdoor venue provides plenty of space for social distancing creating a safe environment for COVID-19 and a mask or face covering will be required for entry. Go “Behind the Scenes” at the Museum and see what goes into maintaining the West’s largest collection of rail cars enjoy exciting food truck cuisine and end your day with a unique night photoshoot experience. At this bi-annual all-day event visitors get special access to locomotives passenger and freight cars streetcars interurban electric cars and artifacts dating back to 1870. Bring the family for a fun and fascinating day! Activities at Behind the Scenes will feature tours and access to maintenance and restoration areas not normally open to the public (like Carhouse 7). For an additional fee get behind the throttle (under supervision) and run a real locomotive. Exploring such a vast collection can really work up an appetite – and we’ve got you covered! Take some time and visit one (or all) of our food trucks who came out especially for you! Behind the Scenes: Admission is free to members! Participate in a unique night photoshoot experience - whether you are a rail fan photographer or just love Southern California Railway Museum this is something you won't want to miss! From 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. SCRM is opening its doors after-hours for a unique Night Photoshoot experience. Space is limited to twenty-five photographers and reservations are accepted on a first come first served basis. This photoshoot will use Open Flash Photography to capture two classic train engines in a magical way our Santa Fe 108 and Union Pacific 942. Lighting provided by Steve Crise. All skill levels are welcome and the experience will walk you through step-by-step on how to capture some stunning images. Capacity is limited to ensure we create a unique experience for all involved so reserved your spot fast! The fee for members is $80 and for non-members $100. If you would rather have your photo taken than take photos we will also be hosting a Mini Photoshoot on Broadway. This shoot will feature one of our iconic LARy Trolley Cars. A Chevy truck right off a Depression-era farm. A renovation of a rusty 1962 Ford pickup. The past will roar to life at the Antique Truck Show at Southern California Railway Museum in Perris. Presented in conjunction with the American Truck Historical Society Southern California Chapter this one-day special event features hundreds of restored vintage trucks — from semis to pickups to delivery vehicles and farm and fire equipment – in addition to our rolling locomotives and street cars. An incredible variety of antique transportation equipment will be on display for your viewing enjoyment. Photo opportunities abound as the trucks and trains pose together! TENTATIVE DETAILS: This is a gated event SCRM opens from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with trucks on display until 3 p.m. This event is FREE for Museum Members.
