Join us for stories, music, movement, and more at our preschool storytime in the Orchard Room on Thursday afternoons at 3:30 p.m. Preschool storytime is suitable for children 3-5 and their caregivers.

The King's Problem is based on the tales of The Panchatantra, a book of fairy tales from India. Our Attractant, a talking storybook, tells four tales of wonder and enchantment that teaches young children how to handle problems. They include: an honest woodcutter who befriends a Forest Fairy; how Crow & Fox outsmart an evil Serpent; the story of a farmer and his five lazy sons; and how a king who is tormented by mice complicates his problems with a bigger and bigger solution! The show features classical and Bollywood music from India.

Piggy Bank Pioneers: A Playful Path to Financial Literacy Children ages 5-10 are invited to join members of Mountain View High School’s Personal Finance Club to improve your financial literacy skills through fun, interactive games! Be prepared to practice making spending choices and identifying currency. Please note that space will be limited and advance registration is required. When registering the number of attendees, only count the number of children who will be participating in the event (though caregivers should plan to accompany their children).

Calling all non-walking babies ages 0-1 with their caregivers! Let's enjoy songs, rhymes, gentle movement, short books, and other fun as we gather together to celebrate this wonderful phase of early literacy development. The storytime will last about 20 minutes, and then spend time getting to know each other during Stay & Play with baby-appropriate toys. Please bring a blanket to lay your babies on when they are not cuddling in your lap.
