Join your friends at Hercules Library for music, rhymes, flannel board stories, and book-centered fun every Saturday! We'll have two identical back-to-back storytimes with limited space in each: 10:00-10:30am in the Children's Library  10:30-11:00am in the Large Conference Room  Library storytime is a great way to help young children develop their early literacy and social skills while building a lifelong love of learning. Plus, it's a lot fun! Best for children ages 5 and younger with a caregiver, but all ages and abilities are welcome.

Do you have a broken item you want to give new life? Bring it to the Repair Fair! Our skilled volunteers will do their very best to fix items like bikes (traditional/non-electric only), textiles and clothing, small furniture, appliances, and lamps. If you can carry it in, weâll take a look. In partnership with recyclemore and Reuse Alliance, a team of volunteers and professional fixers will be on site to help repair your items â all for free! This event will also feature a Clothing Swap. Bring clean clothing and accessories in good condition (please no socks or undergarments) and take home something new-to-you! Pre-registration is strongly recommended so we can prepare for your repair. We are unable to work on microwaves or repair cell phones, but weâre happy to refer you to local professionals. Uncover Gemstones, Fossils, and Minerals with Sarah Louise of The Crystal Garden, Port Costa! Equipped with tools specially designed for young hands, each student will have everything they need to dig, brush, and reveal the wonders hiding within a special packed sand excavation tray. With each stroke of their brush, they will uncover the secrets of ancient artifacts, marvel at the remains of prehistoric animals, and admire the stunning colors and shapes of minerals. As they dig deeper into their excavating kits, students will unlock a deeper understanding of Earthâs history and the incredible forces that have shaped it. Please register to save your spot! Note: Adult supervision may be required depending on the age of the student. When registering, please share the age of your child(ren) so we can best prepare the dig.
