Calling all beginner sewists and dog lovers! Join us for this month's It's Sew Easy program, where you'll create an adorable dog bandana-perfect for your furry friend or as a gift! This program is for ages 12+. Basic sewing machine skills are required (winding and loading a bobbin, threading the machine, running a stitch). Space is limited so please register at smcl.org/events to reserve your spot. Both sessions are identical so please register for only one class!

Baby Bounce Storytime

Baby storytime centers around parent/caregiver-child interactions. This storytime is developmentally appropriate for newborns and babies up to 18 months old. Please join us for rhymes, lap bounces, singing, instruments and a book or two.

We're inviting all knitters, aspiring or experts, to join the Knitting Circle! The Knitting Circle meets in person at the Foster City Library every second and fourth Friday of the month, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Bring your current knitting project to unwind, socialize, troubleshoot and cast on! We will also have simple knit-alongs, where all knitters work on the same project! While this is not a formal instructional class, Knitting Circle members collaborate together to work on basic knitting skills so we can confidently knit, purl, cast on and bind off. Beginners welcome!

Family Storytime

Children and their caregivers are invited to join us for family storytime! We will sing, move, read stories, learn and play together!

Whether you're a seasoned artist or just looking to try something new, this event is perfect for everyone. A variety of materials will be available.  You can: Freestyle Gem Painting: Let your imagination run wild and create unique designs. DIY Designs: Work on small, printed DIY projects and bring your ideas to life. Project Assistance: Get help with finishing any ongoing projects. Canvas Fun: Simply enjoy working on your canvases in a fun and supportive environment. No registration is required â just drop in and enjoy a delightful time of creativity and community. Are you ready to dive into the wonderful world of sewing? If you're a curious beginner or just looking for a fun new skill, our Sewing Machine Basics Jr is the perfect starting point. This class is specifically designed for kids aged 5-18. We'll teach you the basics, from threading the needle to winding a bobbin. Get hands-on practice and see how easy and exciting sewing can be! Use your new skills to make a buff/hat from fleece fabric.  No experience is needed. All materials will be provided.
