In this drop-in program, we'll guide you through the basics of using a Baby Lock Jubilant sewing machine, including winding a bobbin, threading the machine, and running some simple stitches. Whether you're a complete beginner or just need a refresher, everyone is welcome to drop by and learn at your own pace! Whether you're new to iOS or looking to get more out of your device, this class will equip you with essential skills and knowledge. You'll explore the core features, settings, and apps that make iOS devices unique, and learn how to customize and secure your iPhone or iPad for optimal use. By the end of this course, you'll be confidently navigating iOS, managing apps, and taking full advantage of your device's capabilities. By the end of this course, participants will be able to: 1. Understand the iOS Interface: Identify and navigate the basic components of the iOS interface, including the home screen, Control Center, and notifications. 2. Manage and Organize Apps: Download, organize, and manage apps effectively, including creating folders and managing app settings. 3. Customize Settings: Personalize the iOS experience by adjusting settings such as display, sound, notifications, and privacy. 4. Utilize Built-in Apps: Explore and use essential built-in apps like Safari, Mail, Messages, Calendar, and Camera, and understand their basic functions. 5. Secure Your Device: Implement basic security measures such as Face ID/Touch ID, passcodes, and Find my iPhone/iPad. 6. Please join us as we welcome Forensic Artist Naomi Glixman for an interactive presentation and workshop on forensic art. We will be practicing the interview process and doing a (voluntary only) drawing exercise along with our discussion. During the workshop, you will learn the nuances of the forensic artist interview and how and why it works. Naomi Glixman has been a Forensic Artist for over twenty years, working first with the Redwood City Police Department and currently, for the past eleven years, with the San Francisco Police Department. She has been certified by the International Association for Identification since 2016 and sits on the Forensic Art Certification Board for that organization.

Baby Bounce Storytime

We're inviting all knitters, aspiring or experts, to join the Knitting Circle! The Knitting Circle meets in person at the Foster City Library every second and fourth Friday of the month, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Bring your current knitting project to unwind, socialize, troubleshoot and cast on! We will also have simple knit-alongs, where all knitters work on the same project! While this is not a formal instructional class, Knitting Circle members collaborate together to work on basic knitting skills so we can confidently knit, purl, cast on and bind off. Beginners welcome!
