She serves on the National BDO Government team and BDO Leadership Training team, and is passionate about fostering positive leadership skills in her office and across the firm.     Joy holds a BA degree in Economics and Education from Wellesley College in Massachusetts and an MBA from University of Washington Foster School of Business. She is a member of the Anchorage Athena Society, received the Top 40 Under 40 award, and is a past-chair of the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She currently serves on the Board of Nine Star, which provides job training to keep Alaskans out of poverty. Jessie Lavoie, CEO, YWCA Alaska     Jessie came to Alaska in 2006 to attend Alaska Pacific University for her bachelor’s and later University of Alaska Anchorage for her masters. Her first professional nonprofit role was with the National MS Society in 2011 as a Development Coordinator. In 2015, Jessie moved to Credit Union 1 as Community Engagement Director, focusing on point of sales fundraising, corporate contributions, scholarships, and volunteer management in the community. By 2018, she became the Pick.Click.Give. Program Manager for the Alaska Community Foundation, managing a $3M statewide fundraising campaign through the State of Alaska’s Permanent Fund Dividend Contributions program. There, she also managed grant-making efforts, granting over $5M per year.      In the summer of 2024, Jessie became CEO of YWCA Alaska, an organization that facilitates community conversations around policies that are negatively impacting neighborhoods across Anchorage and Alaska, provides youth programming through the lens of mental health, and honoring women leadership. Gary Chythlook, President & CEO, Aleknagik Natives Limited     Gary Chythlook is the President and CEO of Aleknagik Natives Limited (ANL), the Alaska Native Village Corporation for Aleknagik. Grounded in his Yupik heritage, he leads with a commitment to protecting ancestral lands, strengthening cultural identity, and creating future opportunities for ANL’s shareholders — whom he respectfully calls “our relatives.”     Gary is guiding ANL’s transition into a modern holding-company structure that grows federal contracting under Nerka Federal, invests in local economic development through Aleknagik Development LLC, and builds a cultural and land stewardship program rooted in traditional values.     Guided by the principle: “With One Mind, With One Heart, In Unity – We Move Forward,” his leadership focuses on honoring elders, educating youth, and ensuring that the economic growth of ANL always remains connected to who we are as a people. Miles Baker, Managing Principal, Miles Baker Alaska     Miles Baker is a second-generation Alaskan who grew up in Juneau and Anchorage. He has 20+ years of experience in public policy, government relations, and external affairs in the state. Miles has held leadership roles in the executive, legislative and congressional branches of government, and managed complex policy initiatives through a range of public and legislative processes. Currently, he is the Managing Principal at Miles Baker Alaska, an Anchorage based strategic consulting and lobbying firm. Previously, he was Legislative Director and Infrastructure Investment Coordinator for Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy, VP Government Relations for the University of Alaska System, VP External Affairs for the Alaska Gasline Development Corporation, State Director for U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski, and long-time senior appropriations staff to the Alaska State Senate.     Before returning to Alaska in 2003, Miles was an entertainment executive in Los Angeles, a Six-Sigma Black Belt at NBC Entertainment and National Director of Sales and Marketing with Sony-BMG’s classical and jazz division. The Alaska Ski for Women is North America’s largest women’s cross-country ski event, with close to 1,000 Alaska women coming together to celebrate skiing in beautiful Kincaid Park. On the first Sunday in February, women of all ages and abilities- many in colorful costumes- come out to ski approximately 4 km (2.4 miles) decorated course. The event supports the Nordic Skiing Association of Anchorage and nonprofits working to stop domestic violence in Alaska.

Trident Seafoods is a fishing company founded over 50 years ago by a fisherman aboard a boat in the Bering Sea. For 40 years, Trident’s founder, Chuck Bundrant, led the company with fearless vision, taking bold steps not only to grow Trident, but to elevate the entire seafood industry. In 2013, Chuck passed the torch to his son Joe, born in Kodiak, whose leadership continues to carry forward a culture of passion and innovation. Trident has been deeply rooted in Alaska’s coastal communities for over half a century. They opened their Anchorage office three years ago to better support our operations and community engagement. Today, their Anchorage office serves as a vital hub for our Alaska activities. Each year, they coordinate travel for over 8,000 employees across the state. The office also houses our Skilled Trades Program coordination, provides workspace for our environmental compliance and mechanical engineering teams, and serves as a venue for meetings, policy discussions, and community outreach. Stefanie Moreland, Executive Vice President of Public Affairs and Anchorage resident, will share insights into how Alaska’s fisheries are economically interconnected with key industries such as freight, fuel, aviation, telecommunications, cooperative cold storage, and employment. She will also discuss how fisheries are managed at both the state and federal levels, our collaborations with universities on research initiatives, and Trident’s internal gear innovation projects, all aimed at continuously improving practices and maintaining Alaska’s reputation for having the best-managed fisheries in the world. PLUS, a member presentation from Fur Rondy.   Stefanie Moreland is the Vice President of Government Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility for Trident Seafoods and a member of its Executive Team. Trident owns and operates primary seafood processing facilities in twelve Alaska coastal communities serving over 1,000 independent harvesters and its own modern fleet. Trident is a leader in product development for wild Alaska seafood, reaching markets in 50 countries with wild Alaska seafood products from its facilities in the U.S., Japan, Germany, China, and Latin America.  Ms. Moreland has more than 20 years of experience in natural resource management and public policy development, primarily in the Alaska region. She has been an active participant in multi-stakeholder forums addressing fisheries management, marine ecosystem research, and global seafood standards and benchmarking initiatives. Since 2019, she has served as President and CEO of the Alaska Black Caucus, leading organizational strategy, budgets, and partnerships to address racism and uplift communities. Previously, Celeste was Executive Director of Shiloh Community Development, Inc., worked in legislative affairs for Alaska State Senator Bettye Davis and U.S. Senator Mark Begich, and served in the Municipality of Anchorage’s Mayor’s Office of Equal Opportunity, focusing on racial equity and discrimination issues. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work and an Associate Degree in Business from the University of Alaska Anchorage and has been honored with the 2022 Athena Award and the 2024 Alumni of Distinction Award. Celeste is the longest-serving President of the NAACP Anchorage Branch and continues to serve on boards supporting housing, youth, and community development.   The diversity committee's mission is to better serve and advocate for the business community by becoming a more open, inclusive, and diverse organization reflective of the make-up of Anchorage. To accomplish this we envision a board that reflects the demographics of our city and a growing membership of businesses representing the diversity of our business owners and entrepreneurs. Nearly 500 children participate in the Ski 4 Kids event annually, with over half coming from Title 1 schools and receiving free bus transportation to the event, along with lunch. Through Ski 4 Kids community fundraising efforts, over $100,000 has been given out in ski equipment grants over the program’s 20+ year history, providing a legacy of ski equipment and instruction to schools and youth organizations that far outlasts the day itself. Ski 4 Kids registration is free, but donations help make sure all kids, regardless of family income level, have access to cross-country ski programs and equipment. Net proceeds directly benefit local schools, youth organizations, and programs by providing new ski equipment and other needed resources. Funds also cover transportation costs to Ski 4 Kids for over 200 kids from 11 different schools, many Title 1, ensuring many students an outdoor experience that would not otherwise be available to them. A primary objective of Ski 4 Kids is to award grants to schools and programs to purchase ski equipment.
