Limited space! For ages 11-19. SEACT is thrilled to partner with professional actress and acting coach Jennifer Apple for ZOOM master class Acting the Song. Students will learn how to enter the song through the text how to personalize the materials to make it their own and how to be fully in the song. Ms. Apple will randomly select 4 or 5 students to perform their memorized piece. She will then guide them on ways to improve the performance while all the students enrolled listen and take notes. As time permits other students will be chosen to perform and receive feedback from Ms. Apple. Students are responsible for reliable internet connection and must be seen and heard by the instructor. A Zoom account is not required. Class meets Sunday Jan. 24 2:00-3:30 PM Central Instructor: Jennifer Apple Cost: $35 Jennifer Apple is a multi-hyphenated artist who hails from NYC. She "currently" plays the role of Anna in the Tony Award Winning The Band’s Visit's first national tour and has performed at regional theaters like ACT Chautauqua Theater Company Goodspeed Musicals and Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival. She has developed and workshopped many new plays & musicals and lent her voice to multiple cast albums. Jennifer has appeared on TV in “New Amsterdam ” and holds an MFA in Acting from The American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco CA. As an Acting Coach she specializes in: finding new material specifically for you acting the song/monologue Shakespeare BFA/MFA auditions and breaking down the text. What do you do? Forget mass hysteria and anarchy. If your name is Shep and you tend bar it's merely business as usual. Meet some strangely upbeat small town folk as they unceremoniously come to grips with their impending doom and a travelling salesman who turns out to be... Well join us and see. During the pandemic SEACT presents small cast small crew and limited audience productions. These smaller productions allow SEACT to produce and present excellent theatre in a way that protects our volunteers and the community from the spread of COVID-19. The audience is spaced in groups of two and seating is limited to less than 40% of room capacity. Masks are required. If you do not have a mask one will be provided. Regular disinfection protocols are employed before and after each production including the theatre backstage common areas and restrooms. Hard surfaces are wiped down fabric chairs disinfected and programs or other materials are disposed of. We ask that if you or a family member have been in contact with someone who has tested positive or has symptoms of COVID-19 please stay home. SEACT will transfer your ticket to another party or future performance.
