Brian Levine is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of FormerGov.com. Brian started working on Former Gov because, despite his significant government network, he found it difficult to search for and find former government expertise. When he is not working on FormerGov, he consults on cybersecurity, data privacy, cyberlaw and responsible AI. Brian has an extensive public service background, having worked at the federal, state and local level. Most recently, Brian served as a federal cybercrime prosecutor with the U.S. Department of Justice, and National Coordinator for the 300 Computer Hacking and IP Prosecutors nationwide. Brian also served as an Assistant Attorney General for the Internet & Technology Bureau of the New York Attorney General's Office. Brian has also served as a prosecutor in Wayne County, Michigan (Detroit), and clerked for judges in U.S. District Court for the Southern Districtof Florida and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Brian has also worked for international law and consulting firms, including Ernst & Young (EY), Morrison & Foerster and Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison. Brian graduated with a BA from the University of Pennsylvania (summa cum laude) and a JD from New York University School of Law (magna cum laude).
