The Mall Walking Club meets every Tuesday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. through December 30.  It’s a great way to enjoy the benefits of walking no matter what the weather is outdoors. One loop is about a half-mile (or 1 000 steps). To join sign up at the horse fountain on Retail Level 2 (between Crate & Barrel and Urban Outfitters) on Tuesday and Friday mornings during the program. Admission is free. Parking is free for all registered members of the Mall Walk program from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesdays and from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Fridays. All participants are required to sign a waiver even if they have previously participated. For more information call (914) 231-4645.

In the museum, the current feature exhibition is, "A Special Role: St. Paul's Church and World War II".  Other displays explore the American Revolution and the Lenape, the original inhabitants of the St. Paul's area.  In the church, visitors observe and learn about the significance of original appearance of 1787, and also gain an appreciation of the use of the edifice as a military field hospital during the Revolutionary War. Other features include the 1830 Erben, one of America's oldest working pipe organs.  Brief recitals are avilable upon request.  Please use the  https://www.recreation.gov website for advance reservations, and please arrive ten minutes before your scheduled tour time.     In addition, self-guided tours of the grounds and historic cemetery, weather and conditions permitting, are available Tuesday to Saturday, 10 AM - 4 PM.  Reservation are not required for the self guided tours of the grounds. Saturday August 20 and Sunday August 21Suggested for children ages 7 through 12. We are excited to present Battery “B” First Rhode Island Light Artillery to run the Civil War Soldier Experience. Each two-hour session --  10 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. -- will consist of a number of fun-filled educational activities and demonstrations ending with the firing of an actual Civil War cannon. Children will witness living history while learning about the life of Civil War soldiers and their families. This program will be outdoors so children should be prepared to stay outside during the camp. Participants should bring water snacks bug spray and sunscreen and wear comfortable clothing for outside activities. Visit www.lasdonpark.com to reserve a session today or tomorrow: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Participation is by registration only as the program can accommodate only  25 children per session.  At the end of each session each child will receive a personalized certificate of participation and an official Lasdon badge. $35.

More than 60 000 participants each year bike walk and jog a 13.1-mile loop of the Bronx River Parkway from White Plains to Yonkers.Unauthorized motor vehicles including electric bikes and scooters are not permitted  on the Bronx River Parkway and the Bronx River Pathway.Also: July 17 24 31 Sept. 11 18 and 25 Oct. 2.

Saturday August 20 and Sunday August 21Suggested for children ages 7 through 12. We are excited to present Battery “B” First Rhode Island Light Artillery to run the Civil War Soldier Experience. Each two-hour session --  10 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. -- will consist of a number of fun-filled educational activities and demonstrations ending with the firing of an actual Civil War cannon. Children will witness living history while learning about the life of Civil War soldiers and their families. This program will be outdoors so children should be prepared to stay outside during the camp. Participants should bring water snacks bug spray and sunscreen and wear comfortable clothing for outside activities. Visit www.lasdonpark.com to reserve a session today or tomorrow: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Participation is by registration only as the program can accommodate only  25 children per session.  At the end of each session each child will receive a personalized certificate of participation and an official Lasdon badge. $35.

The Mall Walking Club meets every Tuesday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. through December 30.  It’s a great way to enjoy the benefits of walking no matter what the weather is outdoors. One loop is about a half-mile (or 1 000 steps). To join sign up at the horse fountain on Retail Level 2 (between Crate & Barrel and Urban Outfitters) on Tuesday and Friday mornings during the program. Admission is free. Parking is free for all registered members of the Mall Walk program from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesdays and from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Fridays. The Mall Walking Club meets every Tuesday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. through December 30.  It’s a great way to enjoy the benefits of walking no matter what the weather is outdoors. One loop is about a half-mile (or 1 000 steps). To join sign up at the horse fountain on Retail Level 2 (between Crate & Barrel and Urban Outfitters) on Tuesday and Friday mornings during the program. Admission is free. Parking is free for all registered members of the Mall Walk program from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesdays and from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Fridays. All participants are required to sign a waiver even if they have previously participated. For more information call (914) 231-4645.

We are pleased to offer tours of the museum and of the historic church, Tuesday to Saturday, at the following times: 10 AM, 12 Noon, 2 PM and 4 PM.  These are reservation tours, of 45-minute duration. In the museum, the current feature exhibition is, "A Special Role: St. Paul's Church and World War II".  Other displays explore the American Revolution and the Lenape, the original inhabitants of the St. Paul's area.  In the church, visitors observe and learn about the significance of original appearance of 1787, and also gain an appreciation of the use of the edifice as a military field hospital during the Revolutionary War. Other features include the 1830 Erben, one of America's oldest working pipe organs.  Brief recitals are avilable upon request.  Please use the  https://www.recreation.gov website for advance reservations, and please arrive ten minutes before your scheduled tour time.     In addition, self-guided tours of the grounds and historic cemetery, weather and conditions permitting, are available Tuesday to Saturday, 10 AM - 4 PM.  Reservation are not required for the self guided tours of the grounds. During the Great Depression, the Works Progress Administration (WPA) implemented many huge infrastructure projects and improvements. But it also consisted of a little known program called the Packhorse Librarians. Join us and the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum to learn about the Packhorse Librarians, a small group of women whose mission was to deliver and distribute reading materials to the far-off corners of Appalachia during the darkest hours of the Great Depression. This event will take place on Zoom, and registration is required. Please register here. This program is presented in collaboration with the Irvington, Harrison, Somers, and Tuckahoe Public Libraries.

The Mall Walking Club meets every Tuesday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. through December 30.  It’s a great way to enjoy the benefits of walking no matter what the weather is outdoors. One loop is about a half-mile (or 1 000 steps). To join sign up at the horse fountain on Retail Level 2 (between Crate & Barrel and Urban Outfitters) on Tuesday and Friday mornings during the program. Admission is free. Parking is free for all registered members of the Mall Walk program from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesdays and from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Fridays.
