Summer Musical Theater: The Sound of Music from The Rye Arts Center
Summer Musical Theater Workshop Ages 8 - 13, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm In these week-long workshops, students will learn shortened versions of scenes, songs, and simple choreography - all from some of the greatest Broadway and Disney productions. Students will get a chance to experience the world of theater by exploring their talent through acting, singing, and dancing. An informal presentation is held each Friday evening at 7:00 pm for family. Daily attendance is required in order to make each presentation successful. Please pack a nut-free lunch. Tickets are $20 per car and there’s a 125-car limit due to capacity and distancing protocols."Wonder Park" tells the story of an amusement park where the imagination of a wildly creative girl named June comes alive.Moviegoers will be asked to maintain a six-foot distance from others when exiting their vehicles and to wear a mask at all times when outside their vehicles. No gatherings will be permitted. Exiting your vehicle will be permitted when using the restrooms while sitting in your lawn chairs which must be placed up against the front or back of your vehicle or while sitting in the bed of your pickup truck. Restrooms will be serviced routinely and hand sanitizer will be available.

Manju Schandler Virtual Studio Visit from Pelham Art Center
Join Pelham Art Center for a virtual studio visit with Manju Schandler, exhibiting artist in Domestic Brutes. Manju Shandler considers herself a visual storyteller. A theater designer and mixed-media artist, she creates sets, costumes, masks, and puppets for ballets, operas, and other performances. Her visual art makes reference to mythology, politics, and current events. The craft techniques essential to theater design also inform her visual art. Her sculptures are often mobile and articulated like puppets, and her paintings and two-dimensional work are often comprised of layers of handmade paper, sewn polyester film, vinyl, and other media.
