Wednesday, April 14 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
Since we have been celebrating the notable things about February, African American History Month and March, Women’s History Month, I thought it would interesting and education to stay with this theme. I have learned that April is special for many reasons but for me the things that stood out for me were the following four items.April is: National Poetry Month, Lawn and Garden Month, Sikh Heritage, and National Humor Month. For the four Wednesdays in April we will look at and be inspired by art or artists who I think incorporate or are inspired by the four previous things. On April 14, Georgia O’Keeffe will be our artist of focus. In keeping with the Lawn and Garden Month theme that makes April a notable month, We will look at O’Keeffe’s memorable flower paintings. In honor of O’Keeffe, we will do our own flower paintings - abstracting the shape of our favorite flowers emulating this very famous artist’s style. We will use water color paints.SUPPLY LIST FOR ART AT HOME - APRIL 2021Water color paintsDrawing paperPencilsPaint brushes - broad tip and fine point - one eachWater color paperScratch art paperWooden stylusColored pencils - at least one each of red, yellow, blueRegister below to get the zoom link for the class.
