This workshop will provide you with an overview of its contents - historical house photos, newspaper articles, city directories, subject index, yearbooks, and photographs. You’ll learn how to access and search the database which is available on any library computer or accessible on your device when on the library’s Wi-Fi network. If you’re interested in learning more about your home, the history of Glen Ridge, genealogy and more, then don’t miss out on these workshop opportunities. Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. invites the public to take a tour of Essex County Kip’s Castle and learn the history of this hidden gem. The tours will be held on Tuesday, April 28th and Thursday, April 30th, Tuesday, May 5th, Thursday, May 7th, Tuesday, May 12th, and Thursday, May 14th, at 7 pm. Kip’s Castle Park is located at 22 Crestmont Road, Verona, NJ Kip’s Castle offers spectacular views of New York City. You will be able to see the beautiful stained glass windows throughout the castle. We welcome everyone to visit the Castle, learn about its history and experience the grounds in a new way through these guided evening tours. Light refreshments will be available. Admission is $10.
