Calling Actors and Technicians, ages 8-15years! Goshen Theater Drama Club’s Summer Camp runs June 8-26, with a final showcase on June 27 at 2PM. Campers who choose the “Performer Track” will spend their days rotating between Acting, Dance, and Music Classes. They will use improv and devised theater to create original plays to be performed at the final showcase, along with learning and creating multiple music and dance numbers. Campers who choose the “Technician Track” will spend their days learning how to operate lighting and sound equipment; building props, costumes, and set pieces; and learning how to create and run a show from behind the scenes. Have you ever wished your new baby would come with an owner’s manual? This class will help you focus on those first couple of weeks after you give birth. Learn proven techniques to hold, soothe, and care for your baby. The second portion of the class focuses on keeping your newborn safe. You will also learn how to provide emergency care for your infant, including CPR for babies under one year old. Mannequins are provided to practice the skills learned. This class is facilitated by one of our Board Certified Lactation Consultants and is designed for the postpartum breastfeeding mother. The goal of this class is to help maintain lactation when you are separated from baby whether at work or school. Discussion includes conversations with your employer, ways to express breast milk, the proper storage of breast milk, introduction of bottles and paced bottle feedings. Come learn about breastfeeding from one of our board-certified lactation consultants. You will learn the keys to breastfeeding success, including how to establish a good milk supply, positioning and latching on the baby and ways to avoid potential problems.
