About Us
What do The Yorktown Lions Do ? The Lions’ motto is “We Serve,” and the Yorktown Lions Club has lived up to it. Since 1960 , the clubs has helped the vision impaired, supported youth, and performed community service. Best known for our Annual Easter Egg Hunt, Halloween Parade and Summer Concert Series, the Yorktown Lions work closely with Guiding Eyes for the Blind and sponsor annual parties for the Beaver Ridge Seniors and Field Home Holy Comforter residents. Lions provide refreshments for Memorial and Veterans Day parade marchers, and make annual Holiday visits to Westchester Exceptional Childrens Home and Pines Bridge School. The Lions also sponsor the Yorktown Leos Club , a service group for high school and middle school students. The Leos currently draw members from three area high schools (Lakeland, Walter Panas, and Yorktown) and two middle schools (Copper Beech and Mildred Strang).
