Spirals in Nature for Families from Sheldrake Environmental Center
Sheldrake Environment Center, 685 Weaver St., Larchmont, NY 10538 (map)
From Seashells, to flowers, to animals and even the stars above, many natural phenomena share a beautiful spiral structure that follows the Fibonacci sequence. In this workshop, we'll combine art and science by closely observing specimens, making Eco art prints and creating a mandala inspired by the spiral forms. Time and weather permitting, we will walk around the pond looking for spirals in nature. This program is best for adults and teens.
